Michael Parlie brings something rare to a consulting firm: he has not just advised businesses — he has built, run, and financially managed them from the ground up. As K&A's Partner for Operations and Finance, he ensures that the firm's internal operations and financial structures reflect the same standards of discipline and rigour it delivers to clients.
Michael is the founder of Kirimin Trucking, an active North Jakarta-based trucking business serving clients in oil, gas, and construction — where he holds direct responsibility for legal, sales, operations, and financial management. He is also the founder of Ouranos Group, a holding entity managing a portfolio across logistics services, EV charger installation, and F&B supply chains. These parallel ventures have given him unusually hands-on expertise in cost control, operational structuring, and multi-entity financial planning across capital-intensive industries.
Earlier in his career, Michael founded BuyYourGuitar, a digital peer-to-peer marketplace for musical instruments, and completed a Management Trainee rotation in operations at Andalin, a logistics technology company. This blend of venture-building and structured corporate operations shaped his practical, execution-first approach to business management.
Michael holds a BSc (Hons) in Finance, Accounting and Management from the University of Nottingham Malaysia, a Master's in Management (Finance specialisation) from Institut Teknologi Harapan Bangsa, and is concurrently completing an MBA at INTI International University and a PhD in Economics (Management specialisation) at Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR), where his research focuses on personal and behavioural finance. He is also a certified FIATA Diploma holder in Freight Forwarding and holds certifications in AI Prompting & Automation and UI/UX Research & Design.
